An honest cover letter

Hi! I'm Wes Lynn (she/her/hers). I'm a female Brazilian software engineer with over 2 decades of professional IT experience. I started out of boredom and curiosity, by tearing apart my mother's computer, assembling it again, being grounded for it, and then being asked to help her connect to the internet; Went through my SysAdmin phase by trying to figure out how to install SNES emulators and discovering that I had a serious case of having Windows 98 First Edition and having to perform a clean OS install; Took a sabbatical year backpacking, riding my bike, eating junk food, getting fat and absorbing all that free content available at a dial of the 56k modem to get fluent in English while learning how to code by myself; And finally working with employers worldwide of multiple sizes, and nationalities, and supporting clients as a professional jack of all trades.

The waitress of the universe

He unlocked a few possibilities for me. He gave me the gifts I asked for and set me to work. It was weird and scary, yet also lively and joyful. He knew all my flaws and asked why I wasn't doing what I was supposed to: "Why I wasn't happy? Why it wasn't enough?" It was harsh to hear, but still, I heard because he was peaceful and kind. Like asking a friend how he/she truly feels about something trivial. While listening to him, I lost myself in the realization that, like all the people I dislike, I avoid difficult conversations. He knew my anger and fears. Moreover, he knew exactly how I used those feelings to perpetuate my resistance to those difficult conversations. The ones that could lead me to change and improve.

O calor do cerrado. Bons tempos.
